The objective of this blog is to have a place for my meanderings and argue that there is a direct relationship between natural law and economics, and the economic problems we face today in the United States (or anywhere for that matter), are directly attributable to our interference with these natural laws.
As we all know, there is a science to nature, and nature surely can be (and has been) broken down into mathematical equations. But there are also philosophical lessons. And philosophy has less to do with mathematical scientific details, and far more to do with understanding the “relationship between the laws”–and how they interact. It is the wisdom that can be found in “the space between” the laws that is of interest here. These are the lessons we’ve long lost.
All the answers can be found in the garden.

It all started years ago. One of the earliest memories I have, when I questioned what I was being told about life, was 5th grade in St. Catherines grade school. I was being taught traditional Catholicism regarding being good and being rewarded by going to heaven, and original sin and so on.
Even by 5th grade, I did’t take to heart much of what I was being told, and I was getting older now, and I started to consciously wonder (space?) about things and test this information in relation to what I saw happening in the real world and it didn’t gel.
The big one I remember that moved me permanently was when I saw in the news that a woman killed her young son by putting him in an oven. Awful. Questions immediately arose in my mind as to: what did the baby do? Was he determined to be bad for some reason? Did he sin? He had no time to even comprehend what life was. Where’s the love of God? Am I missing something?
Understand this is not Catholic religion bashing, but only honest, personal reflection. The best official explanation I could find when things were “unexplainable” was the catch all phrase: “God works in mysterious ways”. I remember thinking: That’s it? That’s as deep as all this goes? You’ve been working on this for thousands of years and this is as far as you’ve gotten?
Sorry, but that’s not good enough
I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying “there’s a reason for everything”, well, it’s literally and scientifically true. But that means for every reason there is a reason for that reason, and a reason for the reason of that reason. Logically, you could follow that reasoning all the way down the rabbit hole.
In retrospect, this quandary unknowingly became a quest of mine for quite a few years in my teens, and I unconsciously and eagerly dived into the rabbit hole. I know now, that the correct definition for what I was looking to understand was metaphysics: concerned with explaining the fundamental nature of being and the world.
While it may sound mystical, it’s no more than just understanding nature and natural law.
What’s interesting about natural law is:
- Its extremely simple, because its the same basic law, always in motion and many times over; at different frequencies and in different forms and different scales (sizes), all simultaneously.
- Since there are multiple applications of the same basic law happening at the same time, they effect each together to difference degrees. That’s why the phrase “living in harmony” and thousands more like them seem to have so much relevance.
If anything, I would hope this information would be interesting and encourage thought. You should know this information is not faith based. You can easily test this information with your own experiences and see for yourself as I did. I invite debate. I will organize my thoughts and update this site as time allows.
Thanks,
